Myspace Best Practices - Avoid account deletion
I am going to be making a comprehensive post that outlines all of the basic guidelines to keep your accounts flying below the radar but I can't do it without everyone's input. As myspace changes policies and anti spam techniques, I will update the post. Lets start with the basics: Messages, friend requests, comments, account creation, blogs, ip addresses, etc.
Account creation:
From what I've seen, the same IP address should not create more than 3 accounts.
About me should not stay empty
Friend requests: vary by age of the account. I just did 350 friend requests yesterday on a very old account and was fine. What about for new accounts? 50? 30?
Comments: a nightclub promoter i know sends roughly 400 or 500 comments a day 3 days a week. His account is a year or two old and has not been deleted yet. For new accounts, what is safe?
Messages: Add random characters (%rand%) to the end of a message so that identical messages aren't sent over and over. Myspace will notice the messages otherwise (right?)
Blogs - if multiple accounts have identical blogs does myspace see this?
Lets keep this thread alive and active over the next few days / weeks. Once we've all come to a loose agreement, I will compile all the data from the posts and make one comprehensive post with the info. Maybe it can get stickied.
Can you guys chime in with whatever knowledge you have to share?
