Relative Links for v1.0 apps breaking proxies

Does anyone know how I could possibly do a proxy workaround with squid to fix this problem. It seems like something a little host file trickery would fix. The full error messages are in the attached debug files.

I have issues using proxies for the Email Account Verifier and the other v1.0 app in Bundle 1 Image Uploader. Both stem from a relative link to /index.cfm that doesn't get followed properly and it gives a proxy error requiring a full url. This doesn't appear to happen in any of the updated software like account creator, profile editor etc...
