ok, let me summarize: firewall or virus protection are the cause for this: but firewall can't be the cause, cause everyone using win vista has the same (windows based) firewall, right? And even if I turn off my virus protection the software doesn't work, while other software by you works without any problems, how can that be? As i said b4, have I tried to run the software under a basic win XP system, no programs installed, just the basic installation of xp, no virus protection, no win vista firewall, but the same result. So what could it possibly be? I am trying to find out what it could be, and I have no idea at all-

did you already tried clearing settings from regedit ?

i deleted the entries of the hkey current user\software\vb and vba program settings\friend adder multisocket
Is there anything else I should delete?

uber, could we establish some kind of network connection so that you could find out whats wrong on our comps. I seriously have no idea where the solution can be found and I don't have any other useful suggestions
